Chicken with couscous and vegetable/ Kurča s kuskusom a zeleninou

Couscous is a traditional food throughout the North African cuisine. Couscous is very quick to prepare by steaming. It is an alternative to pasta and rice, made from semolina and is served with meat or fish.

Grapes smoothie/ Hroznové smoothie


Ingredients (2 portions) :

1/2 banana
200 g green grapes (seedless)
1 kiwi
350 g plain yogurt
½ teaspoon cinnamon

Raspberry smoothie/ Malinové smoothie

Ingredients (2 portions) :

1 banana
100-150 g raspberries
3-5 strawberries
150 g plain yogurt
2 tablespoon soy powder
½ teaspoon cinnamon
100 ml milk

Antioxidant blueberry smoothie/ Čučoriedkové smoothie


Ingredients (2 portions) :

1 banana
100-150 g blueberries
5 strawberries
150 g plain yogurt
2 tablespoon coconut milk
½ teaspoon cinnamon
100 ml milk

Spanakopita (Spinach Pie)/ Špenátový koláč

Spanakopita is a Greek pastry eaten as a snack. Porridge from leguminous plants tasted with smoked bacon/ Kaša z Hŕstky s údenou slaninou

"Hŕstka (Handful)" is the mixture of eight leguminous plants, yellow peas, green peas, medium lentils, red lentils, beans, pearl white beans, medium colored beans, adzuki beans, mung beans. Peas contain fiber, minerals, vitamins with antioxidant properties and lutein necessary for healthy vision.

BRYNDZA - Sheep cheese spread with chives and red pepper/ Nátierka z bryndze s pažitkou a červenou paprikou



Traditional sheep cheese - BRYNDZA - is a soft salted, fermented sheep cheese produced from raw, unpasteurized sheep's milk on sheep farms in the mountains or in bryndza-plants. It is prepared in Eastern Europe, especially in Slovakia, and its production dates back to the 18th century. Bryndza has medicinal properties, which have been clinically proven. It has about twice the amount of calcium than cow's milk, of a higher absorbency, and therefore, favorably influences osteoporosis.

Fresh mint and lemon balm sorbet with melon / Mätovo - medovkový sorbet s melónom / Sorbet à la menthe fraîche et à la mélisse avec melon

Sorbet, a non-fat alternative to ice cream, is an ice dessert made from sweetened water flavoured with the fruit juice or liqueur. The fruit sorbet is a refreshing dessert for hot summer days. The following recipe flavours the sorbet with the herbs such as mint and lemon balm and is served with melon. The recipe is suitable for gardeners who grow herbs in their gardens.
