Patty pan squash strudel / Patizónová štrúdľa / Strudel au pâtisson

The recipes for patty pan squash do not appear as often as for the other vegetables, so after some search, I have discovered this summer recipe in the vegetable cookbook. It gives one way how to process patty pan squash to the strudel made from fragile puff pastry. Such a home-made pastry without preservatives contains butter and differs from a stronger, water-puff pastry, which has been used in previous recipes.

Recepty na patizóny sa neobjavujú tak často ako pre inú zeleninu, a tak po dlhšom hľadaní som objavila tento letný recept  v Zeleninovej kuchárke. V záhrade sa urodilo veľa patizónov a toto je jeden zo spôsobov, ako ich spracovať na štrúdľu z krehkého lístkového cesta. Na takéto domáce krehké lístkové cesto bez konzervantov sa použije maslo a odlišuje sa od pevnejšieho vodového lístkového cesta, ktoré sa použilo v predchádzajúcich receptoch s použitím rastlinného oleja.

Apple Strudel with Extra Virgin Olive Oil - Jablková štrúdľa

Apple strudel is usually prepared from the classic pastry with butter. However,  in some regions of Italy, where olive oil is widely used, the butter in puff pastry is replaced by olive oil. Here is my recipe of puff pastry with olive oil with or without egg. Taste of the strudel made of such pastry is similar to the classic one.
