Škoricovo makový koláč s višňami / Cinnamon poppy pie with cherries / Poppy tarte aux cerises et canelle

I made this poppy seed pie according to the home pastry book, in which I used less sugar and replaced a part of butter with the healthy virgin coconut oil. The cake has more fat, however, it makes the cake light and very tasty. Cinnamon adds light brown color and flavor. 

Tento makový koláč som spravila podľa knihy Domáca cukrárka, kde som použila menej cukru a časť masla som nahradila zdravým panenským kokosovým olejom. V koláči je viac tuku, čo však robí koláč ľahkým a veľmi chutným. Škorica pridáva koláču jasnú hnedú farbu a arómu.

Red currants cake with meringues/ Ríbezľový koláč s bezé





This recipe is from my mom, who makes this cake every summer when red currants are ripen in her garden. However, I have changed it a little: I replaced butter, white sugar and 4 eggs in dough for only 2 egg yolks, grapeseed oil instead of butter and cane sugar. Thus, the cake from such a dough is healthier and tastier.
