These squares made from light grape seed oil and flavoured with roasted nuts on the cinnamon meringues is a good choice for an autumn or winter cup of coffee or tea. Moreover, the apple-walnuts filling with lemon gives the dessert some freshness and marble texture.

This tasty meal made even my grandmother and I make these delicious balls healthier. I use the fine grape seed oil, which replaced  butter in the original recipe containing high amount of cholesterol.

Red currants cake with meringues/ Ríbezľový koláč s bezé





This recipe is from my mom, who makes this cake every summer when red currants are ripen in her garden. However, I have changed it a little: I replaced butter, white sugar and 4 eggs in dough for only 2 egg yolks, grapeseed oil instead of butter and cane sugar. Thus, the cake from such a dough is healthier and tastier.
